Okay, so just finished the first draft of “ANNA: a Mountain Man side story” which currently sits at around 105,000 words. Might be a little more to pack in (give or take 5 or 10k) which might be trimmed down again in following edits. It’s a fair sized book anyway. There will be two chapters set a few months before the events in MOUNTAIN MAN: PREQUEL (where Anna Hajek makes her first appearance) and then another chapter the day of, and then, you’ll see her leaving the parking lot, and we’ll be off. Still a while to go before this hits the market, but (shrugs) it’s officially a thing, now, and will get out there eventually :).
ALSO… Book 7 of 131 Days has made it through all stages of editing and has come out all shiny and clean. That one should be on the market around the end of the year. Is it the end, no, well… for some characters, yes. You’ll see ;). How many more books are in this series. I *think* I see the ending in sight, at around book 10, depending on how big 8 and 9 are, but I won’t know until I finally get in there. And book 8 has been started….
BREEDS 4…. sales were okay, but haven’t really seen a good lift in the early books to go back and do a book 5. I have an idea for it, but it’ll be a matter of when I can get to it. I’ll let you know when I start it.
No plans to do a third He-Dog book yet… again, sales didn’t justify the 5-6 months needed to bring it to market. That might change in the future, and if it does, as always, I’ll let you know :).
Isosceles Moon keeps orbiting my brain, saying “we need closure here!” or at least a cap on things. We’ll see….
And I have a few standalone books in various genres (fantasy, weird west, and horror (creature feature)) in the wings to get to, but all depend on time, energy, and finances. Plenty of stories to write, however, so that’s a good thing…
And that’s it. You’re all caught up…. have a good weekend! 🙂

please please please write more breeds books! they are so good. but I’m looking forward to another mountain man book.
Extremely excited for Anna’s story. do you know if RC bray will be the reader for the audio book? cant wait to dive back into the world of mountain man!
Enjoyed Breeds 4…I like the standalone ideas if you do a book 5, such as what was the setup like in the 1800s, or 1930s or 1940s with Great Depression or WW2 (or WW1) as a backdrop. Have enjoyed all your books, and I exclusively do audiobooks. Audio allowed me to watch my kids when they were young and have been hooked every since. I appreciate you for providing hours of entertainment while I did home improvements, walked in the forest preserves, or did jigsaw puzzles at night. Thank you.
Thank you Jason, for giving the books a go! No Plans for any historical settings, but I *might* do an early book with Moses Morris… no definite plans yet but it’s an idea. There is a definite idea for book 5, however (no Morris there) but it’s just a question of when I can get to it:).
