Strength, honor, and death are all that matter in the seventh installment of this electrifying pit-fighter fantasy that’s perfect for fans of Gladiator.
Tormented by grievous wounds, Goll must adapt his body to the arena—and quickly. His enemies know the state he’s in and swear to not only break him but eliminate him from the games entirely. Meanwhile, his former pit brother Pig Knot continues to suffer from a prison cell under the loathing eye of Kelmo, who’s sworn payback unto the legless gladiator for bedding his wife.
On the streets above, Lady Zelia’s desire for justice takes a turn for the worse when she realizes she’s alone in the great and fearful city, where there’s no remorse. And the brutal enforcer known as Gurga, driven by his own righteous fury, strives to stay alive long enough to exact revenge on those who killed the woman he once cherished. However, the Sons of Cholla have started their own hunt for Gurga and seek a little retribution of their own . . .
The fighting season rages on. And all throughout Sunja—from the lowest fighters to the highest nobles—a rot is spreading: the hunger for vengeance most vicious.
